My own idea for that actual store, is one protester comes in alone, sits down without ordering, "waiting for a friend". Then, his "friends" start arriving in ones and twos, also "waiting" for other "friends", without ordering until the store is full.

Then the real sit-in begins. That's how nonviolent direct action works.
