The mandate that this remains a personal decision is paramount, as it is law. What one considered as the deterimining factors between life and death is a personal decision, informed by their own philosophical and scientific reality, weighed by each and every individual. In a secular society, this must remain the driving force behind such decisions, they belong to the individual and no person or group thereof can make them for any other individual without eliminating their own right to self determination. |
