I would agree that no city employee should ever be giving false info to ICE or they would be in violation of the statute. But not giving info at all - that's just like you not turning in an employee at your local deli who you suspect of being an illegal. "encourage or induce" Again, I agree making a public statement welcoming illegals would be a violation. But stating that you won't go out of your way to turn them into ICE wouldn't be. |
