He never would have been if the same level of accusations had been made about him in 1992 as were made about Trump in 2016. Democratic primary voters would have picked someone else, in contrast to Republican primary voters.In 1992 (and even in 1996), there was nothing credible known to make people think he was any worse than Eisenhower, Reagan, or Clarence Thomas. |
