The chances of a plane being involved in a fatal accident is now one in 16 million, according to the lead researcher, Adrian Young.Presumably that means any given flight. Whereas your chance of being involved in a fatal car crash are somewhere around 1 in 100 million for every single mile you travel. So a plane flight is about as dangerous as a 6-mile drive. |
