Most of those rescinded regulations are being stopped in the courts. Coal isn' coming back, there's no market for it and the few mines seen opening up are for specific purpose ores, mostly for metallurgy. Those mines are automated, mining coal is a known health risk and fiscal liability. What a few hundred men did is now handled by predominately self-driving robots. It's not anything like the employment generator of fifty years ago. In fact NOTHING is like it was fifty years ago, and the sooner that simple fact is recognized the sooner we can get to dealing with the world right now. |
