You fail to understand the mandate concept came along in the early 1990's by the CONSERVATIVE Heritage Foundation to prevent free-loading.You can help pay for someone's generic Metoformin now or pay for someone else's feet amputation in 10 years for undiagnosed diabetes. That's why we have mandatory auto insurance - to prevent free-loading. Expanding the pool lowers rates. My non-Obamacare premiums only went up 2% for 2018. Prior to Obamacare, they would go up 8%-10% a year. The last few year, only 4-5% That is not liberalism - that is Actuarial Math. That is how all insurance works. But today's so-called conservatives can't stand science, so math skills are next to go out the door at what has become the more UNeducated political party of the two. Conservative MD's like Paul and Barasso in Congress at best got 2 semesters of Calculus for biology and medical school. That is about 10% of the way to understanding actuarial science |
