I believe that Jerusalem is the eternal, undivided capital of the State of Israel. I believe that while it is necessary to create a Palestinian state, little if any of East Jerusalem will be part of said state. The Old City must remain under Israeli control.That all being said, Trump's plan to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and/or to move the embassy there, however symbolic these declarations might end up being, is bad for US interests, bad for Israel, and bad for the Jews. |
