As you say, exports happen. 2. The US minus the Confederacy, or even just the blue states in the 2016 election, produce huge quantities of food. He lives in upstate NY but doesn't even realize that NY is a major net exporter of dairy products. He would only be right if red counties were to refuse to export to blue counties. But then the red counties would have an awful lot of trouble getting their farm equipment imported. |
