They haven't "driven out" anyone. Have gangs of Hasidim gone around threatening people? Have they threatened to impose Torah law under threat of the sword? Please.Neighborhoods change. I was born in the west Bronx in 1965 when it was still a good area. By 1970 we couldn't get out fast enough. People didn't want to live with the Hasidim. Fair enough. They all sold their houses, probably got more than the houses were worth, and moved elsewhere. Nobody told them to move. So cut the horseshit. Okay? |
