No, it's being elected by the electoral college. Which is how one becomes president.

That the popular vote doesn't matter is something we still ned to resolve. Still doesn't make trump president by the edict of the people. President Obama was elected by the people twice. Thankfully he also twice won the elctoral college, but it's never guaranteed the popular vote winner will.
