And I think you've indicated that you would have preferred the hundreds of thousands of western (and probably Japanese as well) deaths in WWII rather than end the war with the Atomic Bomb in 1945.Hmm. I think you have a reading comprehension problem. I never said anything of the sort. I just explained some of the thinking (as well as I can, given that I don't share it) behind the opposition to the dropping of the atomic bombs on Japan. And I don't prefer a nuclear barrage of the US over an artillery barrage over Seoul. If those were the most likely choices the South Koreans would have my sympathy but not my support. |
