It's an "ordinary" hostage situation multiplied a million-fold.No one is suggesting walking away. That surely doesn't work. The ideal goal here is to eliminate the hostage-taker without losing any hostages. But no one knows how to do that. A second best goal might be to reduce the power of the hostage-taker to hurt the hostages. |
