However, the article also notes that NC courts have held that once consent to sex is given, it's irrevocable. Violence during sex is another issue altogether, and not as clear-cut as it might ordinarily appear. For example, certain types of sexual play involve violence. Of course, this wasn't what happened with the woman in question, hence the assault charge. |
