No. She lived in Lawrence, LI. She took the LIRR. She didn't like the Jamaica Bay routing, afraid of the wood trestle "out to sea" My mother preferred it though. She was also stranded overnight on it during a 1948 blizzard.My folks lived in Woodhaven before my time in the early '50s, then 1958 - 1969. |
