Back in the late 1960's the Dean of the business school at UCLA was the step-father of an old friend of mine. Radical students had taken over the B-School building, occupied the classrooms, and locked the doors. They weren't leaving until their demands were met.My friend's step-father, who had fought in WWII and Korea, tried to reason with the "leaders" but failed. He next called up his old buddy, the coach of the football team, and asked him to bring the entire team over to the building in an hour. An hour later, the team was there. The Dean then got on a bullhorn and told the radicals they had ten minutes to leave the building or they would be removed. These Yutes then started throwing stuff out the windows at the Dean. He nodded to the coach who told the team to break down the main door and remove the radicals. An ax was used on the door and the team poured in. About two minutes later several radicals were physically thrown out the windows. The rest of them then scurried out of the building like their asses were on fire and their heads were catching. Sometimes, that's what it takes. |
