It will be interesting to see who will be favored.

Hmm, a World Series between two United Van Lines Airlines hubs (I think that CLE is still technically a hub, though not much of one). I think the Cubs use UA, not sure who flies the Indians.
I actually flew ORD-CLE once, in 1989. Was travelling from LA to visit some friends in Cleveland. UA was my airline of choice back the, and they did not fly LAX-CLE direct then (though I much later found out they had just dropped that route earlier in the year. I had actually asked the booking agent (in the prehistoric days when you actually had to talk to a real live person on the phone to book a flight reservation) to route me to connect in Denver. I didn't want to risk my LAX flight docking at the end of the C concourse, and having to hoof it over to a far gate at the B concourse. So I get to LAX and checked in, and the gate agent there informs me that there had been a change to my flight. Yep, I was being routed through ORD after all. Not only that, my LAX-ORD flight was going to be on a 727-222 (Or 72 Adv as UA called that type). WTF?!? I didn't know that the 727 had that much range. So I was off to ORD, fortunately, my connecting flight to CLE was only a few gates away. Oh that ORD-CLE flight? A DC-10 with probably less than 100 ppl abord on a plane that had over 300 seats. I later found it that the DC-10 had been routes HNL-SFO-ORD-CLE. I guess for whatever reason, UA wanted a DC-10 to be in CLE that day. Whatever.

Go Cubs!! :)
