Reminds me of Ronald Reagan's attitude twoards Amtrak. He wanted to kill it outright. I remember he gave a speech during his 2nd term saying (paraphrase) I could give every man, woman & child who takes the train an airline ticket & still save money for the taxpayer.Point being, if Trump wins & shows that he has true core republican conservitave principals, & depending who is in the house & senate, that might not bode well for Amtrak. But theres' the catch, most folks (mostly other republicans) think he a Republican in name only. Amtrak might escape a budget cut, no less the axe. Bottom line: he's no Ronald Reagan |
