None of it matters now, of course.

And the individual states only matter if it's very close or if you have lesser candidates with strong regional appeal.

Individual eastern states will also help call the race early on Nov. 8.

If Trump takes FL and PA, Clinton is toast. But if Clinton is the clear winner in either state early on Tuesday night she's got it in the bag, because she can afford to lose FL or PA (but not both), VA, and OH as long as she gets all the other states Obama took in 2012.
