Remember the "after the rightward pivot" qualifier in my statement. Part of the Clinton supporters' animus towards Sanders and his supporters stems from Clinton having to move much further to the left than than their election strategy plans. Many Sanders supporters view Clinton's leftward tilt as a cynical ploy. A "rightward pivot" for the general election would confirm that judgement. |
