I grew up in 80's Europe.The experience of the musical scene of the time can best be described as living through smallpox. Since it didn't kill me, it made me immune but it also certainly scarred me forever. Yet one can still not resist picking at the scabs. Like a traumatized dog eating the maggot-infested fur of his mangy hide for a fleeting pleasure and a reminder of one's own ephemeral existence. Disturbing shit. |
