It'll be worse.

The markets have always built in the fact that Argentina is shaky and unpredictable.

OTOH, the US has always been so highly trusted as to make the dollar the global reserve currency.

An exit from that status would be much more catastrophic for us than Argentina's routine defaults every 10-15 years.
