The US was essentially a one party country from 1933-1953.No, it wasn't. The GOP was unpopular but not suppressed. A "one-party government" means you only have one party. A weak or weakened opposition isn't the same as no opposition. That is what the dude in The Nation was fantasizing. And how to achieve that. |
