Why are insurance costs increasing?

"People newly enrolled in individual health plans in 2014 and 2015 were found to have higher rates of certain diseases, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, coronary artery disease, HIV and hepatitis C than people who already had coverage, the association said in a March report."

In other words, people are finally being treated for chronic conditions that they had when they could not afford insurance. Now they are finally being treated and presumably getting better. This is a transitional problem. Once most people have coverage, the incidence if these chronic untreated diseases will recede.

Meanwhile, it's good news that people are being treated. Or don't you think so?
