I think it's a #fakehatecrime for a number of reason.

LGBT's thrive on victimhood and feel the need to fake stuff

The Whole Foods worker is taking a big risk doing something so crazy

The Whole Foods worker who made the cake is gay, so I doubt he would call someone a fag but who knows

The person who bought this cake has a lot to gain from the publicity

Cortelyounext would agree with me on all points
