I still believe that the Framers had the Minutemen in mind when they drafted the Second Amendment. If this case ever gets to SCOTUS, an interesting question will be whether these "assault weapons", something no author of the Constitution could imagine, falls within the "militia clause", because these were originally developed for battlefield use..just saying... |
