Why would Iran having a deposit of uranium have any bearing on their existing stockpile of weapons grade uranium? The Iranians have surrendered their highly enriched uranium (which at 20% U235 was hardly weapons grade) and are taking natural uranium from the Russians which has virtually no U235. They gain nothing digging up natural uranium in their own country as opposed to using Russian yellowcake. U235 decays at a given rate, so there's no such thing as a natural uranium deposit which has a high concentration of U235.

In fact they may actually find that indigenous mining is worse, as they'll know the US and the rest of the world will be able to observe their domestic mining and directly infer the progress of the nuclear weapons program by what they now have to tell the IAEA about their plants. The real danger is of course that the Iranians will produce plutonium, yet somehow in the right winger's infinite ignorance almost all the focus has been placed on uranium enrichment. Luckily the Obama administration pushed for changes to the Arak reactor to bring it into compliance and make plutonium production almost impossible.
