as of 1AM, the project has ended and has been funded. the final total, with the pledge money and the add-on rewards added is actually well over $6.3 million, which means a few things.

First, MST3K is now the first TV show to be brought back from cancelation for a full season via crowdfunding.

Secondly, it is the highest earning TV/Film/entertainment crowd fund ever, over taking the "Veronica Mars Movie."

and thirdly, that there will actually be a total of 14 episodes.
