I can't imagine too many Jewish or Christian versions of this story.Really? Christian children beaten for violating religious rules? Jewish children being left uneducated because modern information doesn't matter? Fundamentalist Mormon children being forced into sexual relationships (if girls) or being expelled from the community (if boys)? If you read some more of the mainstream media, or even that conservative paper, the Daily Mail, you'd see tons of those stories too. Along with the stories of Muslim kids being abused in the name of religion. |
