The actual quote from Jeremiah 1:5 is (subject to translation): "in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations."This doesn't at all imply that humanity begins at fertilization, only that it begins some time before birth. Which is true. |
