How many of your compatriots wanted to burn Hobby Lobby down after SCOTUS ruled in their favor? And look at the hate and vitriol on college campuses lately against journalists by students and faculty. Look at Yale, demanding faculty resignations and the renaming of Yale’s Calhoun College (John Calhoun supported slavery), and the erection of a monument acknowledging that Yale was built on land stolen from “indigenous peoples.” This isn't LW hate?Or Amherst, where the students demanded the president apologize for (among others things) Amherst’s “institutional legacy of white supremacy, colonialism, anti-black racism, anti-Latinx racism, anti-Native American racism, anti-Native/ indigenous racism, anti-Asian racism, anti-Middle Eastern racism, heterosexism, cis-sexism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, ableism, mental health stigma, and classism.” Seriously? You can't make this shit up. No one is more intolerant than people demanding tolerance. |
