I thank my lucky stars that I don't have to live inside his head. Whatever the root cause, the things he says are too darn bleak to tolerate in anything but small doses. He sounds like Archie Bunker with major depression. Everyone is pigeonholed into neat little categories and their thoughts and actions must correspondingly fall in line. Everyone has dark, ulterior motives. Women are out to screw men. Men are too stupid to avoid their traps. Liberals, most of whom favor government programs to help the poor because they don't want people dying in the streets, are happy when people die in the streets. Right. He's the one feeling pangs of glee every time he comes across a crime story that supports his twisted view of the world, which he can then crow about online. I'll bet if he meets the love of his life, he will screw it up by succumbing to paranoid delusions that she must be cheating on him because, well, that's how it works. |
