The last time I was there I stood under the F4F Wildcat fighter at the appointed time waiting for the chicagomotorman to show up. Funny thing... I never saw him. As always in circumstances such as this I was wearing my ridiculously oversized www.subway.org button featuring the reliefs of the 110th/Cathedral Parkway and 190th/Overlook Terrace stations. Anyway, I was left high and dry and felt like the loser who stands off to the side at the high school prom with no date and no prospects. I finally headed over to my aircraft which was already boarded with a reserve field standby male stewardess filling in for me until I arrived. I keep putting myself in untenable positions I have nobody to blame but myself. Just pathetic. |
