So that "DRM" you refer to isn't actually a restriction, it's just that most commodity CPU's can't even answer the call to begin with. Yeah, no. It's DRM. Apple encrypted vital chunks of the system so they can't be used without a proprietary kext which is imaginatively named "Don't Steal Mac OS X.kext" and includes a little ditty about how using OSX for anything Cupertino didn't explicitly authorise is "stealing" their hard work even though you paid for it. |
