But my point was that CMM, Bill, Luch, and others who support the systematic expulsion of illegal aliens aren't really thinking that through. Their conscious brains don't allow them to say "It won't affect me because I'm white." But their subconscious tells them something to reassure them that this won't mean that they are constantly going to be stopped to have their papers checked.I once said that if Arizona was really going to crack down on illegals, they'd be demanding papers from all the tourists visitng the Grand Canyon, and Luch said something like don't be silly. What he had to be thinking without admitting it was "But those people won't be bothered; they're white." Similarly, no one here dares reply when I say I'm an anchor baby and you want me out of here. What they are probably thinking is "I don't want you to leave because you're of European ancestry," but they know that would get them into even more trouble. |
