Krugman also had an intersting column pointing out how much Trump's economic pronouncements contradict the Republican party line.

Krugman's inference, which I'm not sure I buy, is that the Republican electorate isn't as wedded to the standard voodoo economics as people have thought it was. It may just be that this electorate doesn't process informational inputs very quickly.
