Defunding Planned Parenthood is too far to the right. Women have rights. Basic healthcare is among them. They also are econmically disadvantaged, given the still existing pay inequity especially at the income levels where patients seek resources like Planned Parenthood. The bulk of their work is cancer screening, which is why you hear talk of "killing women" because, without same, women will die. It's a fierce reality that brings up fierce rhetoric. |
