Having invoked TR in another post on here, did you forget about his "no hyphenated Americans" speech? There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all …And I don't refer to naturalized Americans either. But with that hyphenation followed by "their country", which country do you refer to? Incidentally, Wilson also alluded to the "hyphenated" person, but attempted to spread hate and paranoia by accusing such of "carr(ying) a dagger that he is ready to plunge into the vitals of this Republic whenever he gets ready." Thus is the difference between the parties back then illustrated, at least in that context. As for those here illegally and their offspring, you may be right in what you said but I really hope you're wrong on that Think about what you just said. Someone here illegally has no respect for our laws. If anyone thinks I support the illegal Irish aliens in this country, think again. They're left-wing criminals. Obama attempted to pander to them this year, too; and it's bad enough that the current prime minister of the former republic of Ireland supports that criminal activity. Anyone who hates this country ought to get the hell out of it Indeed. |
