Piper suffered most of his adult life.Ox Baker told me at a convention that Piper suffered from "rotating hip". That he'd come back after some matches and just collapse on the floor and writhe in pain. To ease the pain and stress of wrestling, Piper got drunk most days. People will blame steroids, because he testified at the Zahorian trial, but I'm leaning towards alcohol effect and other issues killing him so young. |
