American sports have been completely compromised by television.Baseball is the only one of the three major sports that's been able to maintain its integrity when it comes to television. There are natural breaks in play which allow for commercials to be aired without disruption of the game schedule. Contrast it with football and basketball, in which the entire pace of the game is built around commercials (e.g. football's 2-minute warning and basketball's incessant timeouts near the end of the game.)
