It is not an easy lifestyle and the mergers, furloughs, etc. have created a glut of younger pilots because most of the senior guys who would be retiring now took the early retirement incentives a decade ago so you don't have the quick jump to the major carriers that you had during the 1990's. That is a tough sell to women. |
