"well !! what do you know this was thier old address"Lafayette Radio 165-08 Liberty Ave. Jamaica 33, New York Lafayette Radio Electronics Corp 111 Jericho Turnpike Syosset, L.I., New York The Jamaica address was there new main headquarters and mail order source after they expanded from ther 100 6th Ave (Manhattan) address. That was their first store. When they expanded again, they opened their Syosset location as the main store and mail order source. In the late 60's they opened their Hauppauge warehouse (no store) which dealt with Lafayette private line products (audio, CB, etc). Then sometime around 1977 they went belly up. For a short time the Lafayette brand name was carried by Circuit City, but that too died. Bill "Newkirk" |
