Traditionally, when someone misunderstands what you write and you correct them, your correction is not considered "an out."

Unless you're Terrapin or AlM, who like to play dumb language games; intentionally misunderstanding a post and then declaring their misunderstanding to be the only correct interpretation and insisting that the plain meaning of the original statement "twists" it somehow.
