I had discussed it with my folks and if drafted, I was going to ask to serve in the Air Force because that's where my Dad served. The only deferment I would have asked for was to delay entry until I finished whatever school year I was in during college.My family has a tradition of military service. That's why one nephew is active duty Army (helicopter pilot), another nephew is Army ROTC at college, and my brother is in the Army Reserve. |
