I was just wondering.I passed by Pittsburgh in August 1980. My mom and I had been driving from L. A. to NYC, and the last place we stopped before NY was Pittsburgh. More accurately, a Ramada Inn by the Pittsburgh airport. Man, that place is way out in the sticks! The next day, we are heading east, and I'm wondering if we are ever going to actually get to Pittsburgh, then we enter this tunnel which leads directly to a bridge which was over one of the rivers (not sure which one), and I see Three Rivers off to the left. Actually, looking at Google Maps, we were crossing the Monongahela River, then turned east onto I-376. I guess the PCCs were still running in 1980, though the LRVs would be coming a few years after that. |
