I don't think a foreign politician in the midst of an election campaign should be denied a visa if he's coming to attend something like AIPAC or to do outreach to expats nor should our own candidates be denied if their sole purpose of a foreign trip is to meet with our citizens abroad.His/her opponents can do that too. It is however wrong for our own leaders to meet with them because it gives the appearance of an electoral endorsement. Democratic nations should never interfere or even give the appearance of interfering.with the electoral processes of other democratic nations Especially those of our allies. |
