Mind you, amidst all the talk of the murder rate, we also need to consider the suicide rate and the accident rate.There are far more gun suicides than gun murders, and banning guns would reduce the suicide rate considerably. I don't have the figures handy on accidents, but if you get shot it doesn't much matter whether it was deliberate or not. |
