OK, to be fair, my grandfather never specified E.I. was the one who actually misspelled his name. He always said "they" misspelled it when he came to America and he went to Immigration to correct it. It was always assumed by him and my relatives that it was done on E.I., but in reality, who knows where it was misspelled?Even to this day, whenever I'm in a situation where my surname has to be written dow, even if I slowly and articulately spell it out, it will be misspelled 7 out of 10 times. |
