With all due respect to Smaz, citing Queens as an Italian heritage borough is a bit weak.

My wife's grandparents moved to South Ozone Park in the early 1920s. They were not alone there. The last 3 stops on the Lefferts A were still very much an Italian neignborhood in the late 60s and early 70s. Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Gate of Heaven had 6 overflowing masses each weekend.
