I'm glad to see this topic among the various topics on OT Chat. Of course, I'm not glad that anyone suffered cancer and died. In general, Cardinal George's death has brought all sorts of commentary in Catholic circles, by some who praise him and others who fault him, a violation of the De mortuis nil nisi bonum proverb that goes back to ancient Greece.
